LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, 60’S & CLEAR

Bass fishing is very good. All fishing patterns are very similar to last week except that the fish are becoming more aggressive. Fish the creeks and the coves with a Zoom trick worm in bubble gum color. Fan cast this bait to any cover. You can also fish these areas with a Wake Bait. Use a wake bait like the Red Fin in bone color. Fishing a Carolina rig on the points and secondary points is a great way to catch numbers. Use a 5 inch Zoom lizard in pumpkin chartreuse. If you want to catch fish on a fluke, fish any steep rock banks on the main lake. Parallel these banks with a pearl white Zoom Super Fluke. On the days when they won’t bite the fluke, you can usually catch them on a jerk bait. My jerk bait choice is a Spro McStick in a shad color. Use this jerk bait because it is very erratic and tracks through the water well. If you choose to night fish now, the spinnerbait seems to be the best way to catch them. Parallel rock banks or fish points with a ¾ ounce short arm Spinnerbait. A Shaky Head Worm fished on points, after dark, is a good way to get bites. Use a dark color worm to catch these fish.
