Bass fishing is fair. Avoid the rivers and stay down lake. The RS Shad Raps and the DT6 are working early in the mornings. Also, take along a few Chug Bugs and assorted colors of Skitter Walks. Bass are biting before sunrise in shallow water with the top water baits. A lot of strikes are coming in very shallow water. Follow any missed strikes with the crank baits. The bass seem to move off the bank after missing any top water baits. Also throw those jigs into any tight cover you may come across.
