LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL & 83 DEGREES
Bass fishing is fair. Spots are still roaming up into shallow water all during the day. The bass seem to be either holding tight to cover or suspending out in the deeper water. Catching these deep water bass will be easier with the Lowrance Structure Scan machine so anglers can search more water faster. Locating them with the Lowrance and then make long casts with DT16's. A couple of quick turns on the handle of your reel will get the bait down, then slow the retrieve down to a slow crank. Shad and fire tiger colors are working. Up the Savannah River use, the dark jigs and Carolina rigs. Start off the mornings with an all black buzz bait for the top water bite and fish the water column all the way through to the bottom with crank baits and then worms. Green watermelon colors for the clear water and pumpkinseed or darker browns for the stained water are good colors to use while throwing plastics.
