LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 80’S

Bass fishing is fair. In the heat of spring on Eufaula means one thing and this is to fish shallow. Fish are holding in grass and willows in mere inches of water. Add to that the fact that the mayflies are hatching and you have the recipe for some outstanding fishing. Fish buzz baits, top waters and Zoom Horny Toads and Super Flukes in and around shallow vegetation early. As the day progresses, switch to a spinnerbait, Zoom Z Nail and the new Zoom Super Hog. Fish these baits very tight to the cover. Look for balls of shad fry and mayflies on flats just off of the river north of Cowikee Creek and keep the spinnerbait wet. Be sure to flip the Super Hog to any likely looking piece of cover. Be sure to keep moving to find active fish. With the mayfly hatch happening the fishing is good for numbers.
