LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, 80’S & CLEAR

Bass fishing on Allatoona is good. Water temperatures in the mid to high 80s have sent Fish deep. Majority of fish are being called in that of 12 to 20 foot deep right now on brush and eat rock piles. Baits like the big bite 3.75 inch jointed jerk minnow fished on a Gamakatsu drop shot hook on 7lb test Sunline fluorocarbon. There is also a decent bite after dark fishing a Gamakatsu alien head and a Bigbite baits Green pumpkin shaky squirrel worm in shallow brush. There is still a good top water bite early in the morning around daybreak. And there are tons of small bass in the 6 8 inch range chasing tiny fry that will bite at your line when you fish a drop shot. Middle and upper like points seem to be the best areas right now.

This Bass fishing report is from Matt Driver.

Line side fishing is great. All the major creeks are producing good numbers of fish right now. And the down line bite is nothing short of incredible. These fish are scatter in the water column from any where from 13 feet to 40 feet deep. Shad, shiners and bream are all working. Make sure you catch your bream on hook and line. Be sure to carry plenty of bait and change it often. Frisky bait is the key to putting more fish in the boat. Trolling is working well on the umbrella rig. We have had some really good days here lately pulling these rigs. Also single buck tails fished a 150 feet behind the boat at 2.4 miles an hour work. Top water is good early in the morning and late in the afternoon. And a white rooster tail is hard to beat.
