Bass fishing is fair. The fish are holding in structure on the main body of the lake. Look for areas that are close to the river channel bends with blow downs close by like the Clark Creek and Tanyard Creek areas. Spinner baits like the Strike King Quad Shad in white with no trailer fished slowly in and around the cover will catch the big fish early. Your Lowrance Structure Scan is the ticket to locating these summertime fish. Mid to late day change up to a Texas Rig worm with a 1/8 ounce slip sinker, 1/0 hook and 6 pound test line in a watermelon or smokin' silver color and fish around the cover. Try a #5 or #6 Shad Rap in the fire tiger and the Fat Rap in red crawdad colors working the clay banks fished slowly.

Line side fishing is great. The Strawberry Moon slowed the bite down earlier this week. But it has rebounded and may even be stronger than last weeks. Down lining gizzards, thread fins and bream has been working best for our boats. The bite this week has been good on both ends of the lake. Kellogg's Creek, Owl Creek, Stamp Creek, Iron Hill, Clear Creek and Tanyard Creek. Try the main lake at Little River to the points out in front of Red Top Mountain. On most days we are catching 20 to 40 fish with a mix bag of stripers, hybrids, whites, spots and even a few monster crappie.
