LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 80’S

Bass fishing is fair. The fish are moving back shallow. The shallow flooded grass in the creeks is the place to spend the day. Spinner baits and buzz baits are working well, but the presence of baitfish has been the major key. Schooling action has improved and the hybrids, whites, and largemouth are pushing shad up on the flats. The smaller Rat L Traps are working for the quick action. When the bite has slowed, flipping jigs in brush piles and flooded cover has been your best route at a bigger bite. Some fish are holding on the river ledges, but the patterns have been finicky. With the bait on the move bass will be moving daily. On the full moon, fish as early every day for a few days as possible. The schooling action is great for those who just like to catch fish, check the flats. Rat L Traps and small jigs will do the trick. The Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology can sweep these areas and show you the schools of bait and the fish close by. Bass are hitting the creeks following the bait and spinner baits are prime in the flooded shoreline grass, but jigs seem to be the best bet for a bigger bite.
