This past week proved to be pretty typical of a seven day period in December in Texas! We had a little COLD with some AM temps in the 30's, a little HOT with Saturday AM starting in the 70's, a little Drizzle, a little Sunshine and a lot of great Cloud Cover. I was able to get three trips in and we fished for (and caught) Catfish on all three trips. The water temperature has continued to cool down and the Catfish are responding appropriately with larger Blues and Channels showing up daily!

I continued to make the trip up the Richland Creek Arm on the Monday & Thursday Trips and fished the heavy timber areas. On Saturday, I fished the South Shoreline on a WINDY and WARM trip. For the first time this Winter, I "baited" several spots in the Shoreline Coves and we had as good or even better box of fish in the new areas. This is good news as we can avoid a long boat ride on windy or cold days and still catch fish in areas near the Marina! As usual we caught all our fish on Danny Kings Punch Bait.

Looks like we have another Arctic Blast next week that will keep us off the Lake a day or two. However, the forecast for normal mild December temperatures is forecast for the mid week thru Christmas Weekend.
