LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 60’S

Bass fishing is fair. A few bass are after the large crank baits afternoons as the fishing has been typical winter patterns. Large DT10 Rapala fire tiger crank baits have been producing a few bass late in the day on the lower lake. Fish the clearest water down lake towards the dam. Pick the points in the lower lake creeks and pull off them at least 30 feet farther than you would usually fish them. The bass are holding on the structure and they are not chasing baits very far. Use a slow retrieve with a stop and reel. Most of the fish are there but very close to structure. Large Zoom Ole Monster worms in June bug on a Texas rig and a ½ ounce sinker has been fair with a slow drag instead of hopping the baits. Try other dark colors and be sure to add some extra Jack’s Juice scents to baits often, especially soft plastics. Try hopping a ½ ounce spoon too with at least 14 pound Stren Magna Thin line. Do not over work these baits.
