LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 15.1 FEET, 50’S & CLEAR
Bass fishing is good, but has slowed down quite a bit over the past week or so. Right now the predominant pattern is the jig head and finesse worm and a few good fish coming off the spoon. Right now I am using the 3/16 ounce CJC 3/0 head and 6 inch big bite finesse worm. Fisher holding the top to the bottom and are being called in 13 to 17 for a water with a few caught a little deeper. Make sure that you give the bait plenty of time to get to the bottom. Key to getting bit is staying in contact at all times with the bottom. As far as the spoon is concerned most fish our own long clay point’s midway back of the major creeks. Fish are scattered but when you find them most of the time they will bite. We have snow in the forecast and cold weather. We believe this will fire the bottom up and there will be plenty of big fish caught if you are able to get a boat in the water. Hope to be back on the water the first part of next week and we will report if there any changes.

Line side fishing is fair. The bait is starting to move back into the creeks and so are the striper and hybrids. Mid lake seems to be holding better numbers of fish then the south end and the north end but all the creeks on the lake will produce line sides. Shiners fished on free lines and planner boards are producing better then trout and shad right now. Remember to down size your hooks to match your shiners for more strikes. After the sun comes up switch to pulling umbrella rigs. We have had our best luck this week pulling our rigs 145 feet behind the boat at 3.1 to 3.4 miles. As the lake starts to clears the umbrella rig bite will get great. We have a few days open next week. Give me a call at 770 827 6282 if you would like to book a trip.
