Bass fishing is slow. The weather has shut down fishing for a few days. Once it warms back up, the bass will head to the creeks looking for small baits. The largemouth bass holding tight in the deeper water. They may give in a little as the daytime temperatures rebound and warm sunlight hits the shallows. The bait will go to the creeks looking for water that is warm. Watch the temperature gauge and any slight change can be the key to finding the bait fish and the bass. Jerk baits will be best fished along the edges of the heavy mats. With the wind blowing in on these grass beds, you should get a good bite with a stop and go retrieve. Let the bait sit longer than normal to get some action. The shad raps and Glass Minnows can work. Carolina rigs in real deep water is where some anglers prefer to fish on the cold mornings while others are still depending on that deep water vertical jig bite. All these combinations are working and you will have to see which one is doing the best job on the day you go.
