LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 15.2 FEET, 50’S & CLEAR
Bass fishing is good even with the recent cold front. The fish are still scattered but they are very shallow and relating to rocks and shallow wood. This can change this next week if the weather continues to send us a lot of warm sunshine. Good largemouth and spots are being caught and anglers are alternating back and forth with the CB250 and also a Flat CB DR on rocky points and shorelines. There will be a good McStick jerk bait bite come along this week too. There are some largemouth on the visible wood structure and use a 3/8 ounce jig in black and blue pitched into those visible lay downs and brush piles. Be sure to use a good fluorocarbon line and Sufix has a very good line for light line fishing. This line will allow anglers to detect the subtle bites that is happening this week. .

Line sides is good. The bite this week is identical to last week. The bait is starting to move back into the creeks and so are the striper and hybrids. Mid lake seems to be holding better numbers of fish then the south end and the north end but we think all the creeks on the lake will produce line sides right now. Shiners fished on free lines and planner boards are producing better then trout and shad right now. Remember to down size your hooks to match your shiners for more strikes. After the sun comes up switch to pulling umbrella rigs. We have had my best luck this week pulling my rigs 145 feet behind the boat at 3.1 to 3.4 miles per hour. As the lake starts to clears the umbrella rig bite will get great. Give me a call at 770 827 6282 if you would like to book a trip.
