LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 60’S

Bass fishing is fair. The shad are in the backs of the creeks. The fish did not seem to care as they are still on the creek ledges and everyone is using the Carolina rigs. Concentrating on a structure in 18 to 20 feet of water is the best bet but it is hard work. Dragging the worms slowly through brush will be the key for bass but be patient. Fish are pale in color in a deep winter pattern. Surface water are starting off in the mid 50's and warming to around 58. As the cold as started the vegetation to kill over, and looking around on the graph you could see fish holding around 18 feet. Working those areas slowly for extended periods of time is a must. Cold waters all week will only make more and more of these fish start holding deeper.
