Bass fishing is fair. Go south towards the dam area and crank the new Shad Rap in the sexy shad pattern. Fish the channel ledges and the shallow areas around the points is where most of the active bass are. Use a good flexible rod and eight or ten pound test line for the best results. Work the deeper parts of the Alcovy River with Carolina rigs and both worms and lizards are working. The bite will be slow until we get more warm weather. Be patience with the retrieve. Also try the Rapala DT10
If the wind is blowing. The spots will move up and down throughout the day and cranking on and off won't be a bad idea. Try the Fat Free Shad crank bait on the ledges and also have the Carolina rig ready with a green pumpkin Zoom trick worm.
