Today my client and I stayed with the up river portion of the lake to try and catch a few around some shallow structure and stump flats. The main problem was being able to keep the fish on that we did get to hit. We were able to put a few in the boat, but the ones that got away, well the story goes on. We mainly used Choo Choo Shakers and Swimjigs around stumps and shallow grass areas. We were also able to find several quality fish already on bed from the warm weather and 60+ water temps. The floating eel grass seems to be from one end of the lake to the other and can create some serious "havoc" with a good fishing area. Have fun anyway, Mike Carter
