LAKE SEMINOLE IS DOWN 1.45 FEET, CLEAR & 60’S

Bass fishing is good. The fish are spawning in pretty much all areas of the lake. Swim jigs and stick baits have been producing pretty well around sandbars and bedding areas. A 3/8 oz. Buddha Baits In Seine swim jig in black and blue with a 4 inch Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper in hematoma works really well through grass and lily pads that are near spawning flats and backwaters. A 6 inch Big Bite Trick Stick in green pumpkin is good for the sand. Buddha makes a rod that is a 7 foot, 3 inches, 3/4 heavy fast action, that is perfect for a swim jig. Make sure you use Sunline 60 lb. braid with the swim jig and 16 Sunline FC Sniper for the Trick Stick. A high speed Lews Speed Spool with 8:3:1 heat ratio works well for the swim jig. As the weather continues to warm with highs in the 80s, look for the shad to start moving into the shallows and on the edges of the grass flats. Use your Lowrance DownScan to locate the best grass with balls of shad present, and then throw a shallow crankbait or a Buddha Blade. Also, be looking for the new Elite Ti HDS 9 and Elite 12 Ti from Lowrance. These are going to be the best touchscreen depth finders for the best price that will be out this year.
