LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 70’S

Bass fishing is good and its ledge time. The ledge bite has been great as well as off shore man made brush piles. Keep fishing the ledges and brush piles in 11 to 22 feet of water. If there is any current moving use a Bagley’s DBIII crank bait in shad. Once there current dies, go to the Texas rig and the Carolina rig and use big baits. Big still in the jigs too at ¾ ounce or larger. The Ledge Buster 1 ounce spinner baits on the drops will work but this is hard work in hot weather slow rolled on the drops. Both Barbour Creek all the way up to Cowikee Creek has plenty of ledges and many are holding some really good schools of fish. This is where the Lowrance pays off. Old stumps and drop offs as well as long points that run out to the river are the spots to be. Up the river head to the blow downs and rocks on outside bends of the river. All the fish up river seem to be eating well and the fish will be concentrated around the shoals. Top water up can work too so have some Spooks and buzz baits ready.
