Bass fishing is good. Use a buzz bait or a Pop R and fish these areas well. Lowrance Structure can and Down Scan technology unlocks the areas where the fish live. Stay with the early top water lures as long as it works. Once that quiets down begin to fish long points where you have deep water near by. Watch your Lowrance electronics for bait fish and work the area well. Fish a Carolina rigged finesse worm in the watermelon seed or watermelon candy colors with a 24 inch leader. A big crank bait fished on these points will also bring you a few bites.

Hybrid fishing is good. The Sugar Creek Area around the hayfield has been hot lately. Watch your Lowrance depth finder and troll using a three way swivel with a diver on one side and a buck tail jig on the other end. It will not be uncommon to get a double hook up using this method.

Crappie fishing is good day or night. Night fishing with lights off the boats will continue getting better as we get deeper into the summer months. Fishing over brush piles in 15 to 20 foot of water will catch a few good sized fish during the day. Fish are also being caught on underwater islands. Use a live minnow or a 1/16th ounce jig tipped with a minnow for your best results.
