This past week created some slow-down of the fishing as we were hit with more sun and heat than anytime this summer so far. I believe if you’re an avid fisherman than enjoys flipping the grass with heavy weights and big profile baits you would have had more success than others. The problem with this presentation from a guide perspective is it’s boring and tiring for most customers and average fisherman so most of the folks we put in the boat as a guide do not enjoy this presentation.


The success we did have was more targeted to top water baits, Picasso buzz baits, spooks and popping baits over 8 ft. of water in grass is where most of our week success came from. The frog bite also raised its head and seeing some explosions on frogs was a lot of fun and will continue especially if the rain and windy days continue. Along with the top water the worm bite along the river ledge and drops has still been strong with missile Bait ‘48” stick baits as our choice for this presentation. (Note: my report is still second had as I am still recovering from surgery.)


The summer is moving on we will shortly be looking at August and September fishing and as we move forward the heat will be behind us. Come fish with us I have days and guides available to fish with you.
