LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, 80’S, CLEAR


Spotted bass fishing is good. The fish are chasing bait and are running with the stripers and hybrids on the lower end of the lake from the dam to Clarks Creek. These fish are hitting spinner baits and small crank baits and top water plugs early to late evening. Look for the schooling activity and use the run and gun approach to catch these fish. If all else fails use a white Rooster Tail and a #5 Shad Rap on the schooling fish.

Line side fishing is good!! I hate sounding like a broken record but fishing is exactly like it was last week. Down lining shad between 14 24 feet deep is the best bite going right now. The south end of the lake is still the place to be and probably will be for the next month. If netting isn't your thing Shawn and Chris at Striper Soup has plenty in stock. If your using bream make sure you catch them with hook and line. . Be sure to carry plenty of bait and change it often. Frisky bait is the key to putting more fish in the boat
