It's been a GREAT EARLY FALL on RC as the White Bass, Hybrid Stripers and especially the Crappie have been on a good bite! This past week, I fished four trips for Crappie and one trip for the Whites/Hybrids, and did well on all of them. The Crappie can be found on Brush Piles in 15'-20' FOW and we're catching most of our fish on minnows. We've also caught Crappie in the standing Timber along the South Shoreline and a few fish on the Bridge Columns. We will continue to fish for them until the Cool Fronts hit and turn Fall into Winter.


We've found the White Bass in different areas on different days. The large Schools of good size fish are on the move and can often be found on the 309 Flats, Pelican Island and South Shoreline Points. Check out the Flats in the early AM especially if you have a nice South Breeze. While we don't do much Afternoon Fishing, the Fall bite in the PM can often be just as good as the Morning. RSR Slabs in Silver or Chartruse ( www.rsrlures.com ) is our "go to " bait of choice.


Lastly, we will be gearing up for an AWESOME Catfish bite in the next few weeks. You can already catch a box of Channels and Blues over Baited Holes, but the real easy catching will soon come up the Richland Creek Arm in the Timber. Get out the Danny Kings Punch Bait and get the grease hot for the Fish Fry!
