LAKE SINCLAIR IS DOWN 1.6 FEET, CLEAR, 70’S

Bass fishing is fair. Top water baits have continued to produce a few fish, including an occasional large bass. Get to the lake as early as possible and cast to the shallows with trick worms and small shad and blue back top water lures. The top water action in limited and will die by 9 am. Fish the north end of the lake but there are only a few small bass in any mood to bite, plus they are all small. Fish in the creeks and a little deeper and use a Bill Norman Middle N’s in the perch pattern caught a few small largemouth. But surface strikes may disappear with the high pressure system. If top water baits produce during the next few days, it will probably require fishing the baits extremely slow. Jigs and soft plastics are still fooling a few fish from shallow cover such as docks, lay downs, and grass. Here too, fishing slow is the way to go.
