We often use the term "Roller Coaster Ride" in regard to the fishing (and catching) during certain times of the year. This past Memorial Day Weekend and Week was certainly that as we had some really good days of fishing and also several of the toughest days on the Lake all Spring and early Summer! Blame the tough days on the extreme heat, the Full Moon, the transition from bottom feeding fish to early stages of Top Water action, or just about anything else a Guide might use as an excuse for a poor trip! On the other hand, attribute the really good days and full ice chests of White Bass to really great fishermen!  That's why they call it Fishing and not Catching!




Good news is that we ended the week with a two day trip with Janet and Lyndon Nichols from Lancaster(See Pic) who had their Daughters and two Granddaughters along to help celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary and also Janet's Birthday! The fish "turned on" and we had two excellent mornings of fishing and cleaned over 250 White Bass for them. Looks like the tough days may be over for awhile! While all our fish were caught on Slabs and Jigs, we did experience just a little Top Water activity on Saturday morning. It won't be long till we will be using the Tiny Torpedos and Lil' Georges for Schooling Fish!


Schools out and it's time to get the Kiddos on the water! We have just a couple of June open dates, but lots of July openings. Also, Fathers Day is just around the corner on June 17th. We can get a Gift Certificate in the mail in time to help him celebrate. Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
