TOP WATER ALERT! TOP WATER ALERT! The long awaited Summertime Pattern that many fishermen get so excited about has kicked in gear this past week and the White Bass were Schooling on top all week long! Many folks describe the action as "The lake surface looks like a washing machine"! Whites and small Hybrid Stripers are pushing the Shad to the surface and a feeding frenzy is going on. Literally acres of fish can be seen some mornings and if you get a nice breezy and cloudy morning, the feeding can go on for several hours. The fish can be caught on just about any bait that is small and shiny....Rat-L-Traps, Tiny Torpedoes, In-Line Spinners, Slabs and more!




Check out the South Shoreline from Fisherman's Point Marina to Ferguson Point for early AM activity and then watch the Main Lake from the South Shoreline all the way to the 309 Flats. Any and all of this part of the Lake is subject to have Schooling Fish going crazy chasing Shad! Once the Top Water Activity slows, the White Bass can be found down deeper on the Points and Humps in 20'-30' feet of water and caught on Silver or Chartruse RSR Slabs.
