Bass fishing is fair. The bite slowed down a bit with all the weather changes. Spots are still easy to catch but the big fish have disappeared for the time being. Look for the fish to start moving to the backs of the creeks as the water keeps cooling. Up lake the spinnerbait pattern is good and enables you to cover a lot water to find the fish. Also keep a Shakey head tied on with a watermelon finesse worm so you can slow down and fish your holes better. The jerk bait bite is turning on again and this year it should be great. Use the Strike King KVD wild shiner in silver and pearl color. This bait is better because of the action you get under the water surface. Down lake the bite is tougher but fishing finesse baits should still catch some fish.
