Let me state that I am in-between boats my 2018 is sold and my 2019 is on its way so my report is second had based on my guides. Fishing seemed to pick up some the week the weather stabilized although the wind was disruptive, and the fish went back to some traditional late fall patterns with some schooling and chasing in the back waters. It certainly was day and time specific but there was some good numbers and size caught for those that got on the water.


It seems that baits were all over the place as we caught some on traditional Texas rigged soft plastics, SPRO McRip jerk baits, SPRO Aruka shad rattle baits and Picasso Spinner baits. I believe it was more along the lines of your confidence bait if you believed in it and keep with it the bait produced at some point during the day. The fish aren’t everywhere, and the biggest key was near deep water at least 14 ft., grass and bait fish; these three things were keys to getting bit.
