LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 15.03 FEET, 50S, STAINED
Bass fishing is slow. The Alabama rig bite with Big bite 3.5 Pearl thumpers is good option. This bite may slow some after all this rain we've had but can pick back up soon. We are also mixing things up with a single swim bait. The fish are holding in 12 to 15 feet of water and are not too hard to locate off points and mouths of the creeks. Use the Lowrance Structure Scan technology to make this easier. As of late there hasn't been great moment out of the schools due to the shad staying put. The jig bite can start mid day.is good and will last the month. The 1/2 spoon and drop shot Big Bite 3.5 jointed jerk minnow are fair for fish that are suspending a little deeper. There are still fish on the main lake rock banks and points to be caught finesse fishing. Cast a 3/16 Shaky Head tipped with a Prizm Krawler 6” Robo Worm. This is a great way to catch numbers. Use the Drop Shot and smaller shad shaped baits better than worms. A couple of good choices of these baits are the Skinny Bear Shad, a Live Shad by Robo Worm, or the Zoom Tiny Fluke. Shad colors are producing best.
