Bass fishing is good. There will be another spawn May 4. Schooling spots are showing up around the lake but are up and gone before you know it. Be ready when they are visible and make the best of the few cast you'll get before the leave the surface. The Spro dawg and the double 5inch jerk minnow rig are working great to target these fish. Look for bass to corral the bait into points or wind blown main lake pockets. When the fish leave the surface the Spro McSticks worked in the area is picking up a few fish. Follow the shaded areas to make the top water bite last. The shad spawn will start again May 1 and the swim bait bite will be picking up. For now the Kaci’s Custom bluegill fire and the big bite green pumpkin Squirrel Tail worm fished on 10 pound line will work.
