Bass fishing is very good. The bass are shallow so use the Rapala DT6 or a #5 Shad Rap. The bass will strike at any aggressive crank bait now. Going up lake use the 3/8 ounce jig and pig in reds and black combos along with the Zoom trailer in matching trailers worked on points and any blow downs.
Fish these lures in the same location for a few casts and this can make the better fish strike the lures. Once the lure is in contact with the underwater structure stay in the cover as long as possible. During the mid day period fish any forms of wood. For the larger bass use a Zoom green pumpkin rigged with a Weedless Wonder rig. Finding the right color will be the key while using the worms try several colors. Be sure to use a good tough line and Sufix Elite will work well and use a heavy action rod.
