LAKE LANIER IS .FULL, THE CREEKS ARE STAINED AND THE MAIN LAKE IS CLEAR THE RIVERS AND UP LAKE COVES ARE VERY STAINED. 80S


Currently the lake stands at .1 feet under full pool, and sits around 84 degrees surface temperature. The lower lake has started showing signs of an algae bloom.

The bass fishing on Lake Lanier has been good. The fish are definitely post spawn now and are showing some sluggish tendencies. The fish we are catching have been on points and humps in 10 20 feet of water, depending on time of day and conditions. There is some top water activity present on shallow rock in the mornings, but the all day top water bite has not yet started. Both the main lake and creek areas have been producing. A SuperSpin is starting to work around the brush. The fish are not solid on the brush yet, but should be soon. When they do lock onto the brush, the top water bite should become stronger. A worm and a jig worked slowly on the points and humps in 10 to 20 feet of water has been the most consistent producer of late. Want more specific details?
