LAKE GEORGE IS 1.3 FEET OVER FULL, 80S


Bass fishing is good. It is ledge time once it gets this hot. The ledge bite has been great as well as off shore man made brush piles. Keep fishing the ledges and brush piles in 11 to 22 feet of water. If there is any current moving use a large bright crank bait in shad. Once there current dies, go to the Texas rig and the Carolina rig and use big baits. Go big in the jigs too at ¾ ounce or larger. The large 1 ounce spinner baits on the drops will work but this is hard work in hot weather slow rolled on the drops. On this lake ledges can pay off and this is where the Lowrance down Scan technology pays off. Old stumps and drop offs as well as long points that run out to the river are the spots to be. Up the river, head to the blow downs and rocks on outside bends of the river. All the fish up river seem to be eating well and the fish will be concentrated around the shoals. Top water up can work too so have some Spooks and buzz baits ready.
