Bass fishing has been fair. Look on the shallow creek bends and bank cover. There are lots of fish chasing shad. On the creek ledges any dark worm on a Texas rig will get strikes and the fish are aggressive. Also try these two baits, a 3/8 ounce Sexy shad War Eagle buzz bait and a ghost blue shad Lucky Craft G Splash 65. In the creeks and pockets use a buzz bait around any isolated cover and a G Splash on secondary points and at any busting fish. As the water temperatures continue to rise, use a Lucky Craft Redemption spinnerbait. Keep the bait just below the surface. Any wood and a Texas or Carolina rigged worm in watermelon seed and use a brass and glass weight for extra sound. Work worm baits on the points and ledges. Bright Rebel crank baits in fire tiger and crawfish will also work. Cast a green Culprit worm. Try the Berkley dredge 14.5 and 3.5.


Cast any lure tight on any banks with heavy wood and around docks. On the upriver creeks mouths slowly roll a Culprit spinner bait with gold and silver willow leaf blades. Floating worms are also good in any color.
