dumb luck on cedar
Alright so I know I have really bad luck at everything I go at but the other day me and a buddy were on cedar creek fishing. I sat down in the boat to tie on another jig and the wind was howling pretty good pushing the boat along. I felt the boat stop so I hopped up to use the trolling motor to pull myself to what I thought was a stump under the boat. I then realized I was wedged between to stumps. I tried to back out with the big motor no luck tried to pull out with the big motor no luck. All we had were two pliers, a screw driver and a golden ruler. After 20 minutes of chopping with the ruler and driving the screw driver into the stump we finally cut through. Word of advice carry a hatchet or hack saw in your boat. Has anyone else had dumb luck like this. I found it quite amusing afterwards.

For some reason when I was reading this I started thinking about Shelby Stanga on Ax Men.

Ceder Creek Trap
Had the same thing happen to me. Was fishing by myself and sat down to retie. Felt the boat bounce of a few stumps and then stop. After getting bait ready I decided to grab a sandwich and get my black lights out and set up while stopped. A boat came thru pass and put out a big wake and it wedged me in tight. It wasnt between two stumps but two trees. I tryied to get out with trolling motor then the big motor and nothing. I ended up putting my feet on one tree and my sholder on the other. Had to get about five feet above boat and push. The first time it broke free it only went deeper in. I then hooked a bungie strap from tree to the front light and pushed again and the boat broke free. Never will I do that again.
Thanks for the memory jog. I had forgot about that.

luckly I had a buddy with me I also tried pushing with my hands and feet and I am a great big feller. Ah the good times fishing. I would rather be stuck between two trees on a lake than any day at work.

Happens to me all the time there. I thought that was the norm, but then again I always have the nose of my boat stuck some were it doesn't belong.

Im sure in my life time I will be in a lot of dumb situations like this one. Not been boating long enough to have to many good stories, but a few are in the making.
