If you are speaking of the lake, i have always had the best luck fishing main lake walls opposite the side of the river channel. Guys usually use a texas rigged plastic worm doing the night fishing for the bass, but i have always used a 3/8 ounce light brown and black hair jig with a chartreuse plastic pig trailer. This has worked for me in the summer for smallmouth and kentucks. I have not had the chance to do this fishing this year yet though...but that is always what has worked for me during summer nights. We usually throw right where the water meets the bank and jig slowly down (almost more like dragging) into the water until the jig gets to about 20 feet of water. Most nights will hold lots of fish around main lake points and walls... Hope this helps.
Fished last night in the Waitsboro area. Some small dinks and 3 good fish lost at the boat. Just could not get a hook in them rascals. Slow for the most part and then turned on 30 minutes before dark. Then died again about an hour later. Fish seemed to be biting short and if you didn't get them in a hurry you missed them. Odd night for sure but good luck to you if you go.
