I am going to keep throwing the one in the third picture after I pull it apart and put it back together with new parts. Whatever you decide to throw, pick something red or orange. The red suckers are running. Match the baitfish. I caught that first one deep and the second one shallow. About the only lure with that kind of size and versatility is a spinnerbait. We release them all, by the way. It can really make a big difference if you fish the same places.
Swimbaits are normally my go to lures. I wouldn't have been throwing that thing if I hadn't just made it last week.

Nice fish, i fish for them some in ky river but rarely catch one and never catch a couple in a day. Well done!!
Re: Fat Old March Muskies
Nice fish. Congrats. My partner & I tried it last fall into early winter & enjoyed it. We never caught any big ones, but will for sure be doing it again very shortly. I'll say that casting all day for them will flat wear you out & hurt places you didn't even know you had. lol
Re: Fat Old March Muskies
Boy, they really worked that bait over. When you get it rebuilt I would like to see another picture of it if you could please. I have recently started making my own inline spinners and would be interested in seeing yours. Thanks for the post
