I hardly ever keep fish and freeze them..........
Rather, when I'm in the mood for some fish, and I'm in an area where I can catch something to harvest and EAT, I generally do.
There is nothing like crazy fresh fish. I mean, catch it , clean it, eat it.......all within a few hours. Nothing better than that.
I've done it with crappies, stripes, whites and hybrids at KY.......
I've done it with gills and small bass from dogwood.
I've done it with eyes, smallies, northerns and lakers up in Canada.
I've done it with rainbows at Wolf Creek and Dix.
Like I said.........NOTHING like fresh fish.
