I've been to Cedar 3-4 times....haven't been back in quite awhile. I'd have to somewhat agree with the Circus thing.

Take a Fish Boating!
I fished it a few times in late spring and early summer, came back a few more times in the fall, went on holidays weekdays and weekends and never really had a problem with boat traffic, havent heard much on anyone keeping small bass but have seen a lot of people keeping short crappie. Personaly I have never fished one of the paper tournies on this lake but as long as it is draw for partners I dont see anything very bad about them. I think a 150 hp is a little to strict, and I've got a 150. I mainly love the lake cuz I can take anyone there and catch a 4lb plus fish almost every time. But thats just my two cents.
This lake has become a circus...
Never been to the lake and was curious why she says this---or is this just one of her typical anti-tournament,anti-bassfishermen things? If someone could please clarify more, I'd appreciate it? I have always been interested in trying this lake out, but it sounds like I'd be wasting my time. Plus, I have a 225 and I guess I am not allowed. I don't know.
And thats any different than someone doing the same with a 150HP LOL. But what the heck. Most 18 footers with a 150 are just as fast as my 20 footer with a 225. My old boat had a 150 and was only 5mph slower than my new boat. I guess the bottom line is that some folks just need to show a little courtesy when passing close to someone else no matter what size engine you have. I've been there a couple of times last summer in the middle of the week and there was hardly anyone there. I have not been back since I heard the rumor that a 150 limit was going to be enforced. Like I said there is no difference. Any 18 footer with a 150 can break 60.
I think calling it a circus blowing it way out of paportion, I've seen all kinds of boats with 175hp +. I was there on the 4th of july and labor day and didnt have any problems with traffic and yes I have had a few blow right by a far above idle speed but beats the crap out of cabin cruisers and jet skis
LAST EDITED ON Jan-14-06 AT 10:30PM (EST)[p]not when you fishing up it the trees!!!, your boat then turns into a pinball. I been fishing up in the cuts before and have someone idle down by me, they spoke so I did back, pull in within seeing distance of me, fish 10-15 mins pull out knowing that I'm still there and run buy me with they're A$$ down in the water. All I could do was hang-on and wait for the trees to let me go.....
the open we are planning will have a 20" size limit.
YEA THEY DID DROP THE LIMIT GUESS THEY COULDNT HAND WITH THE SIZE LIMIT WE HAVE TO HUH LOL.BUT ITS TOUGH CATCHIN THE SIZE LIMIT LIKE THAT FOR A TOURNEY.I JUST HOPE THE DONT RUIN THAT LAKE LIKE THEY DID OLD STANFORD CITY LAKE.
