RE: cedar creek
Thanks for that number fishgurl, I wish I knew that number while seeing some guys take out illegal fish.
As far as size limit, I personally dont think the lake has TOO many 20" fish. I read that someone posted that they caught 3 this year over 20", that is great but CC is far from having a LARGE population of fish over 20" compared to the number of 12-15" fish. I will however agree SOMEWHAT with the catch and release of all LM bass except for a slot limit. I believe that there should be a slot limit enforced to take out some of the smaller fish in the lake. Smaller bass are naturally more aggressive than larger bass and will take advantage of food more frequently leaving less food for the larger bass. I think this will give the larger bass a better opportunity to grow even larger. I would like to see a slot limit from say 11-14". But that is just my opinion and I am only 1 person. I must say that I think the development and stocking of the lake was handled pretty good as can be seen by the fish this lake has already produced. I can say that I will do my part in keeping these "fish thieves" from taking illegal fish. Drew

RE: cedar creek
I would love to see this take place. Even though I have not got a hold of a 20'' yet. A couple 19 7/8 but man are they mean and they both came on buzz baits. But I smell success with the 20'' plus class right around the corner. And I believe these fish will take a big hit, because they are in a class of their own. They are thick healthy toads and compared to their brothers and sisters at other lakes, these fish will out weigh them considerably. And I'm afraid thats going to look good to alot of people, either the wall or skillet "ouch that hurts to say". But I think the lake right now is in the position if the limit goes to 24'' or even 25" in a year or so it could be a real special place. Wouldnt it be heaven at the end of the day at the ramp another fisherman asks howd ya do partner and you could reply with " I had several 3 to 5 pounders a couple 6 to 7 pounders but no keepers" WOW SOMEDAY BABY SOMEDAY!!!!! :9

RE: cedar creek
Good thoughts and opinions going on here. It's hard to say if changes should be made. Maybe the slot is the answer. Maybe raise the one fish size to 22" or 24". Who knows. I do know that a 22+ inch bass in this state is a real toad, that's for sure.
As for illegal fish taken out of CC, I have heard all kinds of stuff. Earlier this year my buddy and I got checked when we finished our day. The game warden who checked us in my father-in-law's neighbor in Stanford. We talked for a while and he said he had never caught anyone with illegal bass. According to he and my father-in -law, they are really serious about making and keeping CC a trophy lake for bass.

Is that number good state wide?? While fishing early this spring I saw a family keep some undersized bass.... I wanted to call it in, but did not know any number to call. If this works statewide, then I'll too program it.
Thanks a lot.
Tight lines and God Bless

RE: Fishergurl!!!
I think it's good statewide. I got it from the kdfwr website and it's still there.
