Re: Holiday weekend fishing.....
Oh I will still be fishing my two or three times a week. but it wont be as much fun as it is in the off season. Now it will be very early in the AM, and off the water by 0930, thats about the time the pleasure craft start their day. Then on some days its get to the dock at 7:00 pm, fish for 4 or 5 hours and get back to bed. I have another option also, I'm just 9 miles from the river, and so far there has been no water skiers seen on that river, and just a few jet skiers. I never was big on holiday week ends, working at a continuous operation job, I probably worked most of them, along with most of the holidays. One long week end a month, and a lot of week days off.
I'll still be out but stay away from the weekends, and plus the fossil beds kind of weed out any boats that don't know there way. lol. And the only buckeye navy that I have to deal with are coming down I-71 on my way. Mark give me a call if you get tired of dealing with them down at the big C. Dizzle I allready have a O...But nobody gave me a tow back I paddled..lol Chuck
I'll yell at you soon Chuck. This is one of the family deals every year. I even have to go to a family reunion Saturday somewhere in Jamestown, my wifes side of the family. Saturday night late APB and I are gonna try to put an ole lineside in the boat.
Hey Mark, where were all those wavemakers when we needed em? :)
I will be down at Barren trying to cross the lake at Bailey's Point. Last year, it was launch your boat, slowly pull out and wait 10-30 minutes before you think it might be safe enough to cross the lake.
Be safe everybody!
LOL Kyle. they were far and few between weren't they buddy. Good luck and be safe this weekend.

Dave can we wake you up about 2.30 a.m.??? LOL. We'll be in there but it will be awful late. I've started to walk up that hill several times and look you up but not being familar with exactly where you are I always talk myself out of it somehow. Have a good weekend Dave, are you going down to hear the comedian in Middlefork Saturday night, he's a pretty funny guy I understand.

Re: Holiday weekend fishing.....
This time of year, I used to get started on my afternoon fishing. Off work at 4 and on the water by 5:30. Dang near 3 days a week. And leave the weekends alone, unless I was tourney fishing. Or I might get on the water around 3 on a sunday afternoon. However with fuel prices the way they are, It is really hard to go and fish for just 3-4 hours of an afternoon. I find myself fishing on weekends ALL DAY long. Trying to get my money's worth I guess. I have kinda gave up on night fishing, some people have no sense and its almost scary. Alcohol and a boat dont mix, muchless at night.
