Re: H1N1 Virus
You would be surprised after 11 days from my first symptoms how down I still feel. Probably at about 75% right now. Flu is gone for sure but I get winded real easy and I still have that dry cough. Surely I am in the clear by now though. Been planning a trip to go to KY lake for a while now and I'm supposed to leave on Monday but I don't know if that's a good idea. What do you guys think?
I think you answered your own question in the first sentence when you said how down you still feel. This is a terrible virus and it usually takes a good 2 weeks to get over it. Going out in the wind, cold and if it rains isnt going to help your lungs at all. Why not wait it out until you are back to 100% so you dont risk a setback. Then you can hammer those fish:D

Re: H1N1 Virus
I dont know if you should go or not , but I have to ask , did your boy escape its wrath ??
YES, thank God. He stayed with my parents and my wifes parents for week and her folks have a woodstove. This gave him a sinus infection/cough so now he's got a that but not the flu. Somehow my wife that stayed here with me the whole time didn't catch it either. She is a REAL clean freak and washes her hands so much they crack and bleed so that's probably why.

Re: H1N1 Virus
The CDC says to stay 6' away from anyone sick... I thought that was a bit too close for me , but if your wife didnt get it , maybe their correct... Glad to hear your child was safe. We went to walmart tonight with my almost 3 y/o girl , usually I have sanatiser wipes to clean the cart with , but I didnt have any today , put my girl in the cart , on the way to get the wipes off the shelf ( to open and use one , and yes pay for them ) my daughter has 3 of her 5 fingers IN her mouth !! Why ? she never does this at home !!

Man I use that stuff all the time. I never see anyone use it. I'm so cautious that if someone is coughing or sneezing in the store I'll go the other way!

i am the same way. if someone is sick im breaking my neck trying to get away. i had to take my mother to the er last week and a woman walked in and i seen the nurse give her a mask. i actually got up and walked out. sent my mom a text message to let me know if she was going to be ok ( she was having chest pains and feelin faint) i waited in the car until they got her in a room and then i think i used a gallon or two of hand sanitizer. i have a 3 yr old at home and ny wife is about 4 months pregnant so i aint taking any chances. at work we have the gallon jugs of sanitizer on each desk and if youre not feeling well and any type of flu like symptoms you have to leave or stay home.

Re: H1N1 Virus
I gotta laugh at myself...we just went to Target, Old Navy, Walmart and Party City and the whole time I felt like a Commando looking for the enemy! If anyone was even looking sick with the red nose and stuffy eyes I did an about face and we went a different way. Purchased another bottle of Purell sanitizer for the car as well.
