It all depends what conditions you are fishing. Right now I'm using Trilene sensation 10 lb. line to fish for walleye at night. Have tried flourocarbon and others. Love Trilene Sensation for fishing for Walleye - Top water and
sub surface. Great feel to it and easy to cast. That's on a spinning reel.
