Dave, wouldn't you technically be commercial traffic? I took the Coast Guard and corps closures to mean the main lake and stem and not the embayments and tribs. What do you think? Either way if you can't launch you can't launch.
Kentucky Lake is closed to recreational traffic - I talked to the Coast Guard myself - and I heard that the BFL is cancelled. FYI
i called the flw office and they said it was cancelled:mad:
Per the FLW site, the BFL has been rescheduled for June 19, launch and weigh insite TBA.

The lake is closed, period. Coast Guard has been running folks off the lake all day, that includes the embayments. They are giving warnings today, tomorrow they will start issuing tickets. Lakes will remain closed until further notice to all recreational traffic. They will be reevaluating the situation on Monday, May 10th.
Yes I could be considered commercial traffic, but my business is recreational related and actually with the condition of the lakes...I have no business on it with clients anyway now...it is getting worse by the minute. Also, I would not want to sit in a Federal Court and argue the fact that I am a commercial guide and therefore I should not be fined for taking clients out on body of water that has been deemed unsafe by an official goverment agency. Since I worked for the Feds for 26 years, I know how that would turn out...LOL.
