Ya know what, I'm gonna stick my neck out here. Yea right, like that's a first.
I'm still chasing a job cause being retired seems to much like out of the race for me. And, I'm running low of fishing buds. So I'll tell ya what. Shoot me a pm with a phone number and where in general ya live. If I get my lazy butt motivated to go, and I'll going somewhere we can meet, lets do it. And I ain't talking no guide stuff, or costs split or anything like that. Just, if I go, I'd like the company, meeting people is fun, and worst case, you can go and only have to put up with me till we get back to a dock. Especaily those who the economy is hitting and making the boat go away. Can't tell ya I can go alot, but what the hey. All I ask is a little help getting the thing in and out of the water, and that we compromise on how we are gonna fish.
Or email me, .
I've had a boat of somekind or other for over 50 yrs. I wont even try to figure what fishing has cost me. But I loved every minute of it.
Don't ever put pen to paper to figure it out......you will be sick .:) :).
I have a pretty good idea....I break down my costs the following way:
* Lodging
* Food
* Fuel
* Fishing Gear
* Emergency
* Misc
I have a specific budget for every year, and try to stay within that budget. Due to college expenses, that budget was cut by 75% this year by the CFO......I lobbied for a bailout, but I FAILED....she's a staunch conservative. Go bankrupt, SUFFER the consequences.
I did negotiate out my maintenance of my truck. Since it is my primary vehicle, and it is going to break down and need maintenance anyways, IT should not be included in my "fishing" budget.
At any rate, if you figured out exactly what you spend.....you just might take up golf :) :) .
Later,
Geo

Bob, just from reading your posts on here I bet you're one heck of an interesting guy to fish with...I wouldn't think you'd have any trouble finding people to fish with

I've loved to fish as far back as I can remember, and tried to keep some kind of boat. all my Adult life. I kid you not, as a teenager two of my friends and myself, we cut the top off an old car and used the top turned upside down for a boat, we nailed bucket lids on tobacco sticks for paddles. and besides that I've had 10 ft, 12 ft, and 14 ft flat bottom boats with electric trolling motors and loved fishing out of them in the river. got my first real bass boat in my early twenty"s and have had some kind ever sense. don't get to use it as often as I would like, but can"t imagine not having a boat, to go when I get the need to set the hook on one.

Thanks to Obama I'm going to have to sell one of my Ferraries. If he gets reelected I will probably have to sell one of my Mercedes and either the condo in Monaco or Naples.

Can you put a Class III hitch on a Ferrari?
I got the same problem with real estate, may have to sell my luxury condo in Radcliff KY, overlooking the Mickey Dee's.
