Re: The ride of a triton?????
I have owned 2 Tr-20x boats a 05 and a 06. I work for Plapps so I might be a little bias. However I can tell you this, The Triton is the best riding boat I have ever been in Period. I have had the privelage to drive many different boats , but for rough water ride you cant beat a Triton. Yes they do chine walk some, but this is nothing a little seat time and proper set up cant cure. The reason they chine walk is also the reason they ride so well in rough water. If you have any questions Please feel free to give me a call.

Skeeter I class has a awesome ride, Yes we sell them at Plapps. However I dont think you will find a better ride. As far as Stress cracks, I have not seen any in the Skeeters especially the I-class in particular. If you are interested in a demo ride give us a call. I have driven both the 20 and 21 footers and they are impressive boats. Ranger builds a great boat, but the Skeeter performance, deck layout and ride are very impressive. We also have BassCats, the JD power award winner the last 2 years running. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Hey Richie?????????"??
Sell those boats man because the credability of your opinion has been compromised
Re: The ride of a triton?????
I own neither but I have rode in several of each. The Tritons seem to "walk" more that similar boats. Even after being worked on. To me it seems you have to pay more attention to your driving in a triton.
I have a friend that used to sell Tritons, and he said the same thing. IMO a boat that costs that much shouldn't be that hard to drive.
Re: The ride of a triton?????
How is what I said compromised. I gave my findings on the Skeeter I class boat and the Tritons. Both are fine boats, I have driven both quite a bit. Either boat will make you happy, If the chine walk issue is what bothers some people the Skeeter is a great choice. This is also why Triton came out with the new X2 series. Different boats for different folks. Nothing wrong with a Ranger either if thats what you prefer, truth is you will be happy with whatever boat you buy. Because it is YOUR boat. I did not compromise my opinion. All boats have there pluses and minuses, find the boat thats fits the individual best.

Re: The ride of a triton?????
My best friend bought a tr196 in 06, great boat for storage and fishing. But when you fill it up with gas you might as well be filling it up with budweiser because it walks worse than a drunk person. Going to try to work on set-up this spring.
