Re: The Great President Bush
Wow alot of anger brother. :) I don't agree with what you say about voting for Barry and taking care of the middle class but I'm not going to try and discuss that with you since we have beat that to death on here and it felt good! But I will give my opinion.:D
I don't like either party 100% because they never spoke my language 100%....I wanted to hear more about how to lower gubment spending, enforce protection of our borders by dealing with Illegal Immigration and getting the gubment out of my pocket for more social programs. I believe if we had the immigration problem under control the economy and healthcare system would greatly benefit. How many illegals are out there not paying their fair share of taxes? Look at that tax base!! Both parties are selling us out by not addressing that since they want that latino vote.
Creating Healthcare programs through the gubment scares me to death. Pandering to the unfortunate, minorities, losers, young impressionable minds, major news media and mislead angry voters will win this election for Barry. It's not his policies it's his timing and money.
I'll vote but it will not be for Barry I never gave him a free ride on his associations with the hate church and other questionable friends and that alone speaks volumes to me. My name is Don and I approve this post! :p
Re: The Great President Bush
5lmBass,
How can you figure that there'll be more jobs, less taxes, less government spending if Obama gets in Office....
If Barry gets in, then he's already stated that he'll create more jobs for the Gubment- which means increasing the the amount of taxes that will be needed to pay these positions...., He wants to create a Health care system to pay for the Healthcare of those who don't have it...= more employee's to staff the Healthcare System= More taxes you'll have to pay to emply and pay for these healthcare Positions=more Gubment spending....not savings
Wants to endorse and create more government positions to try and stablize the economy and all functions of the Gubment...= more taxes to pay the salaries of these positions he creates, which = more gubment spending...not savings
You want lower gas prices...then put Republicans back in the White House instead of the Crooks who took over in 2006...... The prices are dropping like the officials said they would just prior to the Presidential Election taking place......
You want the Middle class to stop paying more taxes, well wake up and smell the coffee, cause your beloved Messiah is wanting to do all that you say your against and want out of the President's Office.
Big question for you...How can you lower the Debt of the Gubment if you keep creating more positions that will need to be paid for by (US)...Create a Healthcare system that will need to be paid for by (US)??????

A big 10-4 on this entire post.
Just because someone tried hard doesn't make them a success. Our country is in the worst shape it has been in since I can remember. Sure there alot of factors that have contributed to our current situation, but it all starts at the top. A president, above all else, should be a good leader and bring people together, regardless of political affiliation to achieve goals. Bush has helped create a divide in this country, and that is a failure in leadership. America has lost it's global appeal, and is no longer held in such esteem around the globe as it once was. Ask anybody from any foriegn country what the major problem is with America, and they will say Bush - he really has become a global punch line. The American President was once one of the most respected people/positions on Earth, and it no longer is. Hopefully, our next president, regardless of who it is, will be able to restore the prestige that came along with the position as president of the US.
You are not old enough to know what true bad shape is. Bad shape is 21% mortgage interest rates, double digit unemployment, skyrocketing inflation, watching our citizens held hostage by the Iranian government for 444 days, watching a long range helicopter based rescue attempt end with the death of our brave service men. All this was during the Jimmy Carter administration, the guy Barack Obama is most like. It is worth noting the Iranians turned the hostages loose just before Reagan took office, knowing I'm sure what they were going to get once the weak kneed Carter was out of office. Ole Jimmy did talk a lot to those fine and reasonable folks though.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden are closet Marxists feeding off the votes of all those who believe they'll take from the rich and give to them. Think we're in bad shape now? Jack up the taxes on corporations who're providing jobs, slap windfall taxes on oil companies, tax all those 'rich' small business owners, add another huge branch or two of the federal government...then we're all going to find out what 'bad shape' really is like. That you BO supporters can't understand that confounds me.
What the rest of the world thinks of us has absolutely no relevance, in fact if countries like France don't like us, that's a good sign. Other countries who blame everything on Bush hate him because he has the backbone they lack. He doesn't subscribe to their liberal pacifist notions, and I'm very proud of him for it. Barack Obama will turn this country back into the paper tiger it was during the Carter years.
I haven't completely given up hope, but I'm already getting my "Don't blame me, I voted for McCain" bumper sticker ready. God help this great country once Dems have the white house and congress.

Part of the Iran-Contra scandle if I remember right.

Sorry, but I gotta disagree with this. Certainly there are some countries out there whos opinion means nothing, but to blow off the rest of the world is a little arrogent in my book. You have to learn to live with others even if you do not agree with them.
IF YOU WANT THE RICH TO GET RICHER AND THE POOR TO GET POORER AND THE MIDDLE CLASS (LIKE MYSELF) TO KEEP PAYING ALL THE TAXES AND HIGHER GAS PRICES AND MORE DEBT DEBT DEBT AND LOST RETIREMENTS,JOBS,DECREASING WAGES AND INCREASING COST OF LIVING THEN VOTE FOR JOHN MCAIN. If you want lower gas prices, less debt ,lower taxes, higher wages and more jobs!! THEN VOTE OBAMA!!! GO OBAMA!!!!!
BECAUSE LETS FACE IT HE WILL BE OUR NEXT PRES!!!
I want to know what you consider the middle class. When I was younger, I could EASILY make it on $25,000 a year......Is that middle class, or MORE.
I'll tell you this. someone making around that, married, with a couple kids, pays NO TAXES..........check it out on the 1040 tax tables. AND if they are making around $19,000 they get something called EARNED INCOME....you know what that is..........WELFARE.
Well, under OBAMA and the Democratic Socialist Party......people making a LOT more that that will qualify for a gubment handout.
Now figure this......if 45 MILLION families are around that $25,000 number, and DON'T PAY their FAIR SHARE..........tax them at 10%. FAIR, if you ask me.
Now, under the GeoFisher equitable TAX Payment plan, They will be paying a fair share........Now those 45 million FREELOADERS are paying.....GET THIS: 112 BILLION dollars.........
Now......lets take a look at the average family that makes $100,000. There are over 30 million families that make 100k or more..........MOST of those families pay about 18% in taxes.......LETS look at the numbers.
30 million @ 18% of 100k...........HM.....calculating.........**** that is a FREAKIN HUGE NUMBER......WAY more than their SHARE.........Drumroll please:
540 BILLION dollars............HOLY CRAP...........this is based on 100k salaries.
Now, lets take the top 5% of the BREAD winners........
Lets say they make 500k......they pay 36% already...........and OBAMA wants them to pay 39%........THINK of THAT.........39% of 500k is GET THIS.........that is 195 THOUSAND dollars.........to the gubment.......HOLY CRAP.........
So 5% make 500k.......OK 5% of the country families.......that comes to about 6 million.........Lets do the MATH.......
Now those 5% pay 975 BILLION dollars in TAXES...........
You get the idea............THEY already pay WAY TOO MUCH for what they DON'T GET, and will NEVER GET from the gubment.
We need to get this crap under control..................
Keep it up and we will have a government health care system likes Canada's, a BROKEN social economy like CANADA's, a WELFARE STATE like France...........and a SOCIALIST, DICTATORSHIP like CHAVEZ.........FUN.

How could Reagan have cut a weapons for hostages deal with the Iranians before he was even President? According to what I read, The Iran Contra scandal initially involved trading weapons through the Israelis to a group of moderate Iranians thought to be opposed to Khomeni for their help in getting 6 hostages released (nothing to do with the embassy hostages). Later a bunch of Reagan administration officials were indicted for selling weapons to Iranians through a weapons dealer and giving the proceeds to the Contras. Those officials were pardoned by George H. Bush.

The President should make decisions based on what's best for our country, not what other countries think or say. I didn't say blow them off in arrogance. Toss them a couple of platitudes like they do us, then do what needs to be done, to hell with what they think. First time their butt's in a sling they'll come to us for help anyway, they always do. Maybe you can explain a situation where another country's opinion should influence our decisions.

It's scary! Yeah spineless Frenchies that's the goal and don't forget Barry liked the way China invested into it's infrastructure if I remember correctly he was impressed! He is a bozo, put a colored fro' on him and he could be a hit at kids parties. Come to think of it he already is a hit a kids parties....Democratic party!
Re: The Great President Bush
Not positive on the Iran-Contra stuff, thats why I asked. I know there were a number of things going on at that time. Also rumors of Bush I meeting with the Iranians prior to the election. Been a few years, and some of those years are a bit fuzzy ;)
...Maybe you can explain a situation where another country's opinion should influence our decisions.
I agree that if we are talking internal stuff then other people's opinions do not count. On the world stage, we have to balance what is right for us along with what is right for the rest of the world. Not an easy task.
