IF YOU CAN'T SHUT THEM OFF THEN DUCK IT
HEY DAVE YOU MEAN THAT IF I PAY FOR YOU THE WHOLE DAY I CAN'T DRINK BEER. MAYBE I JUST WANT A DESINATED DRIVER
Lights "97 Chev C1500" I try the E-Brake, All I had to do was to touch the brake a little and the lights went out.
Thanks for the tip
I am a bass guide...if you want a designated driver get a taxi.
I also have a 1999 chev truck and you CAN turn you lights off.
1. Before you start your truck push the Emergency brake down two clicks.
2. Then you start your truck and the lights should not come on.
3. If you need to have them on the switch on the dash will turn the parking lights on or the main lights.
4. When your done just release the brake..
remove the fuse, i believe it's # 20
I didn't have time to read every post, but the thing that bothers me most at any lake is the amount of garbage a trash littering the lakes,it's just ridiculous for people to be so sorry and not haul their trash to a can or dumpster. This includes both boaters and bank fishermen.
One other thing that ticks me off is the lack of common courtesy by boaters, jet ski's,etc and it's not always pleasure boaters either,I don't know how many times bass boats in tournaments or just fishing have run by or at me almost causing accidents, trying to crowd you out fishing, etc.
A little common courtesy goes a LONG way!
People that launch their boat and tie up to the inside lane of the courtesy dock! This still can block the ramp for the next guy that wants to launch. Or people that are fishing on a courtesy dock and refuse to move and bring in their chicken liver and you are ducking their fishing lines and 10 ft. catfish poles while you are trying to drop your buddy off. Then they give you that LOOK like you are disturbing them! One of these days my motor prop will ##### up their line and will send that 10 ft catpole flying out into the air!......That will be classified as a GOOD day.

Great thread! I especially relate to the ones about the boaters not being aware of the "rules of the water." Last year I had a guy pulling a skier just about run me over. He was not paying attention to where he was going b/c he was staring @ the skier he was pulling instead of having a spotter to do this for him. His speed and direction forced me to basically pull over to the left bank and stop for him to pass. There could've been a terrible collision if I had just stopped where I was or tried to gun it to the right side since he wasn't looking ahead. Then this j/a had the nerve to waive his fist at me like I had done something wrong. I did the only thing that I could given the situation he put me and my father and grandfather in. Good thing I had them w/me b/c I was gonna turn around and catch him and give him more than a piece of my mind until they calmed me down. When I asked them what they would have done, they both said probably the same thing given that situation. Normally I am a firm follower of the right side rule, but this guy's inattention caused me to stray from what I know to make up for what he didn't.

Hey Elnut, I KNOW that you have got to have some type of input about this subject.
I fish by myself alot of the time. Last Summer I was pulling out of the water at the Dam at Cumberland, as I was getting out of my boat after it was on the trailer and I fell down. Now, I am soaking wet all the way up to my neck and not 1 of the 8 people standing there, 10 feet from me, asked me if I was hurt or anything. They did not even laugh. There was 2 boats putting in also, I was not taking up too much space. I felt they were mad because I had to tie up to the dock and go get my truck. I can launch and pull out by myself faster than some people can with 2 people. What happened to common courtesy?
