I subscribe to National Geographic, and have a bunch of old issues I'd be happy to donate. How can I get them to you?

I work for the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation dept over here. We provide a gym, pool rec center, internet cafe, ect for the troops. It is a special job. Magazines or books will be great because we have a library.

Are you looking for anything in particular? I have a bunch of In-Fisherman and Bassmaster magazines from the mid to late 90's as well as some KY game and fish that go back about a year or so. If you can use them just let me know.

Yes we need an address to send them to, so our soldier's overseas can get them.......
Where can we get these to Jim I have several that I would be glad to send.
I'm pretty sure that is his address at the end of his post. When you are out of the states they give you some weird addresses.

I am a member of Ky Society for Association Executives (KSAE). KSAE is raising money and gathering donations. The money has been going to help support families in Kentucky who have family members in the military, mainly in Iraq. The donations, mostly mags and DVDs, are being mailed to the troops, mostly to those who are KY residents (Learn more about this at www.ourkysoldiers.net). At a recent meeting I attended, several military personnel were in attendance and said magazines and DVDs were most in need. They mentioned sending fishing, hunting and car mags (mainly "guy hobby stuff mags"). No PLAYBOY-type mags please...
If you live in the Frankfort area and want to personally deliver magazines or other items to KSAE for delivery to the troops, you can drop them off at:
KSAE Office
1501 Twilight Trail
Frankfort, KY 40601
If you live in the Lexington area and want to donate magazines or DVDs, please send me an email and I can pick them up and deliver them to the KSAE office. Maybe I can work out a drop off deal with Backwater's? That would give me one more reason to make a trip over there!
I think this KSAE program will accept any mags and DVDs but prefer newer copies in good condition.

Being in Iraq and look for magazines all the time. Any type of out door, car and truck, motorcycle, current news, health, and hobbie magazines are great. Dont forget we have female soldiers here also, so if the wifes want to give up a some magazines, I am sure that would be great also. I would think that any type of movies that just came out in the states would be great along with the oldies but goodies. If some of you have any out door DVD's, such as turkey hunting, deer hunting and fishing, that you are finished with, I am sure this is something that he would use also. I have had a few sent to me and everybody wants to watch them.
Thanks you all for supporting what we do here. It means a lot.
Billy
