    10 pound Smallie at Dale!!!!

There is one swimming in Dale Hollow and I am asking for someone to tell me exactly where it is at so I can go catch it. Any tips on fishing Dale Hollow, what type of lures to use, places to fish, line type and all other miscellaneous information needed please.

Now that I have met the criteria of the post having something "Fishing" related, I will say what I have to say because I am not looking for any information on Dale Hollow.

Funny how some post are moved to other parts of this board while others are not. I post thanking everyone for their support on the passing of my Brother in Law on this exact site and it gets moved to the "Off Topic" board since it is not related to fishing. Who decides what makes a post worthy of being moved and not moved. I see post about KY and U of L Basket ball still on this part, I see post of one particular sponsor asking for help in pulling boats down to his new store and even stating he is interviewing for sales next week?????? Neither of these have one single thing to do with FISHING but are left on this part of the website. Not everyone knows about the other boards and I did not even know the "Off Topic" board existed until I saw where my post was moved. If there are rules to abide by, then all should be held accountable or none should be held accountable. My guess it that this will be moved or deleted but it does start out asking for fishing information which technically applies to this part of the board if you look at other post.

You make some valid points. Problem is we do not have time to sit down and analyze each post and how it relates to other posts as we all have day jobs. We do the best we can in the time we have and frankly I have been spending way too much time lately setting up and monitoring this board.

    Thanks

Why does it matter if it gets moved? It's still on the board - just located in a more logical place. When I want to read things that aren't about fishing, I go there. Are you taking it as some kind of slam or something.

I always find it interesting when people question/criticize the people who work hard to provide a free, informative message board. They own and operate the site and if they want to move or delete posts that is their prerogative. Heck, they can do it for spite if they want to. They need to offer no explanation in my book.

You have to realize it is the time of year when everyone except the bass-ice boys are sitting at home dreaming about the ten pounder. As soon as we get a few warm rains, everyone's attitude will improve. I made some comments about the Wildcats this week, and I knew it had nothing to do with fishing, but those comments had been building up for some time, and I could not help myself. Somehow, I think alot of Kentucky fisherman are serious Cardinal and Wildcat fans, and it is hard to separate the two. It is like sitting out on the water and eating a good bolonga sandwich with a RC and moonpie, knowing you shouldn't do it, but does it ever taste good out on the water. Thanks Peter for your hard work on the Board. It is greatly appreciated. Elnut, I hope you and your family are doing much better, and I look forward to your comments when you get back on the water.

Elnutsmalljaws if you really want your post moved just put the word tournament in there and it will be gone in sixty seconds...well mabey not it might just stay there and not get touched at all. If you remember a couple of months ago I had questions as to why some get moved but some dont.

I think it is very simple as to why post are made in the KY board...This is a high traffic area. Think about it if you had a truck or boat or anything for sale would you put a flyer up on a light pole down a small country road or would you go to town and and find a busy intersection and put the flyer up there. My opinion is this is all realitive to KY. If I am taliking about a tournament on Nolin doesent that appply to KY. I have see Flordia fishing be discussed many times and never get moved but I have no problem with that.

It is obuvious that the Ky boards is the highest traffic area if you want people to see your post get it out there where it will be seen. I would like to see some of the board eliminated. I know some people would think that the Ky board would be too over crowded but my simple answer would be you dont have to open and read every post. That is the way I do If I see a post about a tournament on the Ohio River I dont open it because I have no interest in it. Same applies if I saw a post for a boat for sale I am not looking so I skip that post However I an Glad to see these type post in the KY board because I know the person who made it is getting the info out there to the biggest audience. It is just up to Me to decide on what I want to read and what I dont want to read.

Might want to move it up to the top then have all the fishing boards follow it.

The point is that I logged into the Kentucky Discussion Board thanking those that supported me by sending the emails, private messages and personal phone calls. It gets moved off the Kentucky Discussion Board, which is the most popular board on the site to the "Off Topics" board. How many of you go to the "Off Topics" board when you log in to this site. I would bet VERY FEW. A guy makes a post thanking the people that visit the KENTUCKY DISCUSSION BOARD for their help and people make comments that they don't want to read about stuff like that. Then very simple, DON'T READ IT!!!!! Fair is fair, UK and U of L has nothing to do with FISHING but currently and in the past many post have been put on this site about basketball and football, who gives a big rats behind if someone needs help moving boats to a new store and needs sales help (MONSTER.COM) takes ads for employment all day long. All I am saying is, move one - move them all. Change the name to Kentucky Fishing Discussion Board to make it legal that all topics about fishing only.

The site is free but I would happily pay a subscription price if required to be a part of this board for I have certainly learned more information than I have given but I certainly have given a whole hell of a lot. Met a bunch of nice guys personally, thru emails and phone calls to boot all because of this site. If you don't like the heading then scroll down to the next one but don't read it then bitch about reading it. Let your 36 year old sister lose her husband to cancer in less than 5 months, get all the support that I have from guys on the Kentucky Discussion Board and then express your thanks to those same people to have it moved to a board that VERY FEW ever visit compared to the original and see how you feel. Fair is fair, I don't care who you are, what sponsor your are, how long you have been on this board or anything!!!!!

Need a fishing trip bad IS CORRECT. Waited all year for December and 50 degree water to get hammered by 60's and 70's all December, get 9 total days FNF fishing at Dale with one great 5 days stretch and 2 other decent days with my first skunk day in a long time, then bust a hernia and out for the season. Been flipping and pitching into the toilet at the house but I can't even catch crap there either. It may be my last trip but come the end of April, Doctors orders or not, my boat will be at KY Lake looking for some Largeheads.

Woody, I didn't know he had passed, I missed it somehow. Godbless all in involved and I am sorry for everyone's loss. To add my two cents, I love this board and everybody on this site knows I'm opinionated as all get out. I think this board is a little to rigged at times and could make exceptions and lighten up a bit. I see political crap on here, and other stuff in the past that I didn't want to look at so I didn't and scrolled on by. In this particular case of yours it should have stayed. I mean it sounds corny I guess but I feel I know alot of you fellas even though I've never met you before.
