Smile Has anyone fished Barren for Hybrids since COLD Front??

I was thinking about going down tonight. It is a pretty good drive down there for me. I was hoping maybe someone fished last night. If so how did you do? Any info is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Re: Has anyone fished Barren for Hybrids since COLD Front??

Cold has helped the Black Bass bite IMO. Was out there till dark yesterday and it was a little airish, but had a 3.10, 3.2, and 3 smaller LM between 5:30 and dark. Had my bait took away from me by something strong also. That was fun but it wasn't funny.

Didn't catch any hybrids or see them busting.

2 Guys were putting in at Peninsula to go for hybrids when I was taking out just after dark. I asked if they'd been hitting at night, and one old dude said he didn't know but there was only one way to find out. I saw their lites outside the mouth of Peninsula as I crossed the dam on my way home.

Had the heater on, and my cojones hadn't stopped rattling together yet, so I didn't envy them.

Jim if you ever want some company, I'd like to have a good guide service so I could learn more about the lake when it's low. At summer I'm o'k down there, but at winter pool that lake spooks the tar out of me, need to learn the channels better. Would like to fish with somebody a time or two that really knows the lake like yourself. Would help on all expenses of course.

    Fishing With Devils Horse?

You better bring your suit of armor, he has been known to impale people with hooks from time to time! Other than that I guess he is OK to fish with.

I've heard he fishes for 5 bucks against the other person in the boat, and loses more 5's than he wins. Statistically I would take his bet!

Sorry Jim had to rib you a little

Re: Has anyone fished Barren for Hybrids since COLD Front??

Hey, no comments from the peanut gallery back there!

What Mr. Huey is talking about is me sticking a 4/0 Gamakatzu thru the underside of his upper arm. The guy never made a sound. No girl-like scream(what I woulda done), no sqwawk, no manly tough guy noises, nothing. Just stood there with his arm held out, the 3/4 oz weight of my Carolina rig hanging down from it. He didn't even call me any foul names (what I CERTAINLY woulda done). Pretty sure I fainted when he pushed the hook on through his skin and cut the barb off, cause I don't remember it real well.

Anyway enough of that. Mark, you're welcome anytime. I'll be out there within the next 2 hours fishing till dark and I'll be out there again tomorrow. Give me a call on my cell if you want. 270-792-1524.
