Well we started to go to the lake Barren but we were going to fish and thought memorial day, no way with the beaches high and dry the jet skie would be bouncing off the boat. so we went to north east hart county and did some exploring on lynn camp creek and green river. We had the grand daughters so it was more for fun than anything. We did catch some small mouth and some rock bass(google eye, warmouth) depends where you come from LOL and a few trout on green river believe it or not. Saw one very large fresh water drum some inconsiderate dummy left laying by the road for all to see and smell. We spoke to a few canoers and they had boated some bass. the river is a littl low but over all at a good level for paddelling, sure beated the crowds at the lake and the colder water helped to beat the heat. This was my first trip to this part of the river it won't be my last. The next time will be for fishing without the kids, so if anyone has tips or if you have questions for me let me know we were near linwood on 31E. Have a Great Memorial day and remember the ones who gave their all and those who nearly did. I support the troops and pray for peace, you can do both but it seems some folks just can not figure that out.

Yep, that's a beautiful place! I've spent the last 20 or so years floating green river and fishing from the dam all the way to mammoth cave. It an awesome smallmouth stream. It's a great way to beat the summer daytime lake crowds. We spent the weekend camping just a few miles up stream of lynn camp creek.
